Fine Craftsmanship,
Home Renovation
& Cabinetry
Est. 1998 • Shawnee, Oklahoma
I believe in challenging mediocrity and creating environments that nurture people.
So, I’ve spent more than 25 years honing my skills as a fine craftsman, carpenter, and expert contractor.
I renovate spaces so that they function well, look beautiful, and feel great for people. So that they last and are resilient.
And, I can help you do the same.
Services
-
I’ve been doing complex home and commercial building renovations since 1998. I’ve worked on new construction, but most of my work has been on structures from the 1870s-1950s.
I specialize in high quality renovations. I don’t cover up problems or cut corners that will cost you in the future. I am a skilled trouble-shooter and haven't met a situation for which I couldn’t find an attainable solution.
-

-
Move on from YouTube and a lot of advice from inexperienced “content creators”! From small projects to whole-house remodeling, I’ll help you do your project right, and save you money doing it. Kitchens, baths, floors, windows, doors—you name it, I can help you do your own work and do it well.
-
Geared for contractors or owners, I’ll walk you through the process of restoring your historic building. I’ve worked in Main Street restoration for a decade, personally restored all or part of over a dozen buildings, and consulted on too many to count. I’m an expert at jumping through the hoops necessary to make an old building truly usable again.

Specializing in Old Homes
Since 1998, Simon Ott has been bringing old homes back to life using the classic, time-honored techniques of a true craftsman. He spent over a decade on a Main Street project, restoring more than a dozen historic buildings & building fronts—and consulting on numerous others. His love of historic structures continues to inspire his work as a craftsman—and, most recently, as a consultant and coach, helping home owners and contractors navigate the troubleshooting old structures usually require. His eye for detail and desire to create meaningful engagement makes for unique spaces, precision-oriented cabinetry, trim, and millwork, and small, one of a kind, portable wood buildings.
